Sri Vidhya's Centre for Special Children was started to impart specialized and intensive training for mentally retarded children aged three years and above with the aim of making them self-reliant and ultimately to integrate them with the mainstream children. The mission of Sri Vidhya's is:
To impart intensive specialized training to students with mental retardation and other cognitive disabilities.
To make students self-reliant, helping them develop various life skills, and wherever possible, providing vocational training.
To integrate special students into the mainstream of life.
To provide support and guidance to parents and family members of students with special needs.
To create and enhance public awareness and understanding of cognitive disabilities, and to promote positive interactions between the general public and those with mental retardation.

مركز سري فيديا للأطفال ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصّة
كان مركز سريفيديا للأطفال ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصّة قد بدأ في منح التدريب المتخصّص والمكثّف للأطفال المتخلّفين عقليّاً من عمر ثلاث سنوات وما فوق بهدفِ تمكينهم من الاعتماد على أنفسهم ودمجهم في نهاية المطاف مع الأطفال الآخرين. تقوم مهمّة مركز سري فيديا على ما يلي:
منح التدريب المتخصّص والمكثّف للطلاّب المصابين بالتخلّف العقليّ وبإعاقاتٍ معرفيّة أخرى.
تمكين الأطفال من الاعتماد على ذواتهم، ومساعدتهم في تطوير مختلف المهارات الحياتيّة وتوفير التدريب المهنيّ حيثما أمكن ذلك.
دمج الطلبة ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصّة في الحياة العامّة.
توفير الدعم والإرشاد للأهل ولأفراد الأسرة التي تحتضنُ الطلاّب ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصّة.
بناء وتعزيز الوعي والاستيعاب العامّ للإعاقات الإدراكيّة، وتحسين التفاعلات الإيجابيّة بين عامّة الناس والمصابين بالتخلّف العقليّ.
