يقودُ الإتحاد من أجل الأسرة الجيلَ الشابّ إلى استيعاب القيم والمهارات والعادات الدوليّة وتقديرها والسعي إلى تبنّيها لكونها تؤدّي إلى قيام أسَر ومجتمعات صحيّة، وهانئة، ومستقرّة. ويبلغ الإتحادُ هذا الهدف من خلال تطوير واختبار وتوزيع موادّ إلكترونيّة ومطبوعة لهؤلاء الشباب ولمعلّميهم وأهلهم الذين يُعتبرون من أهمّ المربّينَ لأطفالهم.
تتمحورُ جهودُ الإتحاد من أجل الأسرة حول العمل على برنامج تطوير الشخصيّة المعروف تحت عنوان "ناشطون من أجل العالم". إنّ المؤسّسة التي قامت بصياغة النسخة الإسبانيّة الأصليّة (المعنونة "تعلُّم الحبّ") هي الإتحاد اللاتينيّ-الأميركيّ من أجل الأسرة (ALAFA). وفي العام 2007، أصبحَ الإتحادُ من أجل الأسرة مالكاً لحقوق الطبع والنشر وهو يسوّقُ حالياَ النسخ باللغات الإنكليزيّة والفرنسيّة والبرتغاليّة فضلا ً عن النسخة الإسبانيّة الأصليّة في كافّة أنحاء العالم.

Alliance for Families (AFF) guides young people to understand, appreciate, and try to adopt the universal values, skills, and habits that lead to a healthy, happy, and stable family and community. They do this by developing, testing, and distributing printed and electronic materials for them, their teachers, and their parents, who are their childrens most important educators.
AFFs work centers on a character development program known as Alive to the World. The institutional author of the original Spanish version (entitled Aprendiendo a Querer) is ALAFA / Alianza Latinoamericana para la Familia. In 2007, AFF became the copyright holder and now markets versions in English, French, and Portuguese as well as the original Spanish all over the world.
AFF sponsors various projects that involve Alive to the World. They are particularly interested in evaluations of the programs impact on the knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of young people.
